Key Responsibilities for the Cashier

- Greet all customers warmly and courteously as they approach the checkout area.
- Process purchase transactions swiftly and accurately, including scanning items, handling payments, and deactivating security tags.
- Promote company programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives to customers.
- Assist customers with bagging and, if necessary, loading merchandise into their vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and proper lifting techniques.
- Ensure register security through diligent cash handling, compliance with company policies, and awareness of your surroundings.
- Refer complex service issues or transactional concerns to a Customer Service Manager when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications for the Cashier

- Minimum age of 16 years to comply with employment regulations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, to meet store operational needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
