In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large, complex enterprise accounts, ranging from $250 million to $2.5 billion in annual revenue. You will engage with senior stakeholders, including VP/SVP-level executives such as Chief Procurement Officers and Heads of Indirect Procurement, to understand their procurement strategies and challenges.

About the Job

As a Sr. Account Executive, you will own all facets of the account management process for enterprise clients within your assigned territory. This includes prospecting new customers, managing existing accounts, and ensuring the successful deployment and adoption of Amazon Business solutions. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, such as professional services, marketing, merchandising, business development, and customer service, to deliver comprehensive solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth.

Your role will involve preparing strategic account plans, conducting negotiations with various stakeholders, and contributing to the development of customers’ procurement strategies. Familiarity with procurement business processes, ERP systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft), e-procurement systems, and other solutions like single sign-on and e-invoicing will be essential in effectively addressing clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities for the Sr. Account Executive

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all aspects of the account management process for large, complex enterprise accounts within your assigned territory.
  • Take ownership of the sales pipeline, influencing demand generation and sourcing processes to meet or exceed targets for prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Engage with senior-level customers, including VP/SVP roles such as Chief Procurement Officers and Heads of Indirect Procurement, to understand and contribute to their procurement strategies.

Minimum Qualifications for the Sr. Account Executive

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers across various market segments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and applications, enabling effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools, such as Salesforce or similar software, to manage customer relationships and sales pipelines.
