Key Responsibilities for the Pharmacy Assistant II
As the Pharmacy Assistant II, you will oversee various aspects of department management. Your responsibilities include:
- Prescription Assembly and Data Entry: Accurately assemble prescriptions and enter data into the system.
- Customer Transactions: Process prescription pick-up and drop-off transactions efficiently.
- Refill Management: Handle in-person and telephone refill requests, ensuring timely processing.
- Program Promotion: Educate patients about pharmacy programs and services.
- Compounding and Pill Pack Assembly: Prepare compounded medications and assemble pill packs as required.
- Inventory Management: Order, receive, and replenish supplies, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Clinical Services Scheduling: Coordinate professional clinical services, including medication reviews and health assessments.
- Administrative Duties: Perform tasks such as cycle counts, narcotic counts, and managing third-party billing.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company standards and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications for the Pharmacy Assistant II
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Education: Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technology Certificate, or completion of a recognized pharmacy assistant program.
- Experience: Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
