About the Job
As a Baker at Costco, you will be responsible for assembling, measuring, and combining large quantities of ingredients according to established formulas. Your duties include operating power equipment such as mixers, dough rollers, and ovens to produce a variety of bakery items. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation standards are crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities for the Baker
Your tasks will focus on producing high-quality bakery products and maintaining operational efficiency.
- Ingredient Preparation: Assemble, measure, and combine large quantities of ingredients according to Costco formulas, adjusting yields as necessary.
- Equipment Operation: Use power equipment to mix and prepare bakery products, including dough rollers, muffin depositors, and crust machines.
- Baking: Operate large ovens, monitor baking processes, and remove products to cooling racks at appropriate times.
- Product Shaping: Roll, cut, and shape dough for breads and pastries, transferring raw products to proofing areas.
- Quality Control: Follow department production procedures and standards to ensure consistency and quality of finished products.
- Sanitation and Safety: Monitor sanitation, temperatures, and product dates, complying with health codes and safety procedures.
- Member Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
