Key Responsibilities for the Cashier Assistant
Your tasks will focus on assisting members and cashiers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring efficient front-end operations.
- Member Assistance: Greet members, help load orders onto the conveyor belt, determine packing preferences, answer questions, and provide prompt and courteous service.
- Order Packing: Pack member orders into boxes and load them onto separate carts or flatbeds, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Support for Cashiers: Retrieve items, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly.
- Clean-Up and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area, promptly addressing spills and trip hazards.
- Cart Retrieval: Retrieve carts and flatbeds from the parking area, ensuring the lot is free of debris and safe for members.
- Additional Tasks: Perform related tasks such as setting up and closing duties for the department, including returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning areas.
