The Senior Financial Analyst, E-Commerce serves as a key business partner to the Voilà Merchandising Leadership team, leveraging financial and commercial analysis to guide business decisions and enhance performance.
This role involves translating results and data into actionable insights, leading sales and margin budgeting, forecasting, and developing financial models to support business cases. The position requires a focus on analytical excellence, collaboration, and effective communication to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Analyst, E-Commerce
As the Senior Financial Analyst, E-Commerce, you will oversee various aspects of department management. Your responsibilities include:
- Financial Partnership: Collaborate with the Voilà Merchandising Leadership and Loyalty team to analyze and interpret financial results, providing insights to drive performance.
- Analysis and Reporting: Translate financial results and data into actionable insights, delivering accurate and timely analysis and reporting to management for decision-making purposes by examining current and past trends of financials and KPIs.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead sales and margin budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and alignment with Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) standards.
- Business Case Development: Assist in developing business cases by building financial models, conducting analyses, and providing insights to support business initiatives.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Develop key financial insights through ad-hoc reporting and analyses to help drive business performance.
- Report Management: Develop and manage various reports, including those generated from SAP, CFIN, and SAPBW systems.
- Risk Identification: Identify risks to plans and forecasts, working with functional leaders to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Support: Generate ad-hoc analyses and presentation materials to support key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst, E-Commerce
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.).
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Professional Designation: An accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst, E-Commerce
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience in E-Commerce: Prior experience in e-commerce or retail finance roles.
- Advanced Financial Modeling: Expertise in building complex financial models to support business decisions.
- Project Management Skills: Experience managing or supporting financial aspects of large-scale projects.
